About Me

I'm a mostly self-taught photographer based out of Elmira, Ontario.

I've loved taking pictures since I was given my first camera the Christmas I was nine years old. From that point on, I pretty much always had a camera with me, be it at school, camp, or on vacation. In high school, I experimented by taking a photography course - all that really taught me, unfortunately, was that I had no desire to ever be a studio photographer. For the years that followed, I maintained an on-again-off-again relationship with photography, and over the past seven or eight years, my love of the art has turned into my passion.

I attended York University in Toronto as an English major (where I was accepted into the prestigious and highly competitive Creative Writing Program - an offer I regrettably declined), and am a graduate of the Public Relations Program at Humber College. I've recently returned to Humber, on a part-time basis, working towards a certificate in photographic techniques.

In my other life, I work in communications/marketing/public relations, and have been responsible for everything from writing and editing, to graphic design and desktop publishing. My current position is internal communications for one of the world's leading high-tech telecommunications companies. I'm also an aspiring writer, and am currently working on my first novel.

I'm the proud mother of a four-legged barking son, and am extremely fortunate to be married to the most supportive - and incredibly patient - man on the planet.
